Reluctantly selling my much-loved Vauxhall Vivaro, which I've owned since April 2023.

It's a 2015 Vauxhall Vivaro 1.6 CDTI 2900 ecoFLEX, with 116,000 miles, a manual gearbox and MOT until 16 February 2027.

This is a DIY camper conversion and a bit of a project, so please don't expect a perfect, finished campervan! The inside still needs some time, care and finishing touches, but the foundations are there for someone to make it their own.

I've spent around £1,800 on the conversion so far, including insulation, lining, windows and the bed setup. It's ideal for someone who doesn't need everything to be perfect and would rather have a solid starting point to personalise at their own pace.

What's already been done?

- Two fitted windows
- Insulated walls with carpet lining
- Wooden ceiling with recessed spotlights
- Leisure battery that charges while driving and powers the ceiling lights
- Custom-built wooden bed frame across the rear
- Space underneath the bed for storage
- Finished flooring
- Curtain rails, hooks and curtains

The interior has a cosy feel, but the conversion is unfinished and could definitely benefit from some further work. I've included photos so you can see the setup and decide whether it's right for you.

Mechanical history

The van drives really well and starts every time.

It has service history from 2016–2023, including its previous life as a BT fleet vehicle, along with records of the following work:

- July 2023 – Clutch master cylinder replaced
- January 2024 – Alternator and shock absorber replaced
- June 2024 – Service carried out
- February 2025 – Brake pads, coil spring and track rod end replaced
- August 2026 – Driveshaft and thermostat replaced
- September 2026 – Injector replaced

Condition

As you'd expect from a van of this age, it isn't perfect. There are scratches on the rear driver's-side panel and some minor rust marks. The interior is a work in progress, so please look carefully at the photos and come to view it if you're interested.
