A well maintained Mercedes-Benz Vario motorhome - Originally converted for Snap-On Tools by WH Bence, Bristol (UK) based coach builders; reconfigured and reregistered as a motorhome with the DVLA in 2011 by MA Engineering, Downham Market (UK).

Fitted with the highly acclaimed 4250cc OM904 turbo diesel engine, 5 speed manual gearbox and coach diff, meaning it’s capable of cruising comfortably at 65mph @ 1700rpm. Only 180,997 miles on the clock which is nothing for these ‘million mile’ engines.

Starts on the first turn, every time! MOT’d ’til 23rd November 2026. Road tax is only £171 per annum.

It’s surprisingly easy to drive considering its size, and capable of carrying up to 5 passengers plus the driver (6 in total) with road legal belted seating to suit.

The recently refreshed interior is cosy yet spacious, comprising a calm earthy colour palette and just about everything one might need for a weekend trip or a grand tour (detailed below).

2 double beds, 1 permanent to the rear - Sleeps 4 adults or 2 adults + more little ones.

For those who aren’t familiar with the Mercedes Vario, they are prone to rust around the skirts, and yes, there are some patches of rust around the skirts, albeit nothing structural. Overall, it’s in good shape for an almost 30 year van, and yes, it still draws a lot of attention and turns a lot of heads!

It’s just undergone a thorough service including: Oil change, new oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, brake lines & fluid, hydraulic fluid, and recent drive belt & tensioner. The interior cab & living space has been deep cleaned from top to bottom - ready for the next owner’s adventures.

Lots of receipts and documentation including the original operating manuals, maintenance booklet showing early service history, MOT detail dating back to 2011, and receipts for all recent works - All genuine Mercedes parts used.

It’s important to note - One does need a C1 license to legally drive a Vario in the UK due to it’s revenue weight.

- WC with a Thetford C-250 water flushing cassette toilet (cassette accessible from outside) and wash basin with new mixer tap.
- Shower attachment also included, which connects to the the kitchen mixer tap in place of the diffuser (also accessible from outside for washing dogs/bikes etc) - previously secured to a removable shower rail & curtains, secured & vented below the skylight, with a stand-in galvanised bathtub for water run-off. Removed but easily reinstated.
- Raised double bed to the rear (147.5 x 183cm - Just shy of a standard double) with slatted bed base (to allow air circulation) and a very comfortable Ikea mattress with removable covers - just cleaned & refitted.
- Wardrobe below the bed with sliding doors, hanging rail + 6 large storage drawers for clothes etc + small shelf, drawer and cupboard storage for toiletries etc.
- Large Seitz multi-angled skylight with blackout blind above the bed.
- Small Seitz hinged side window with integrated blind and fly screen at bed level.

Kitchen:
- Solid wood worktop with 2x large drawers, 4x large storage cupboards + bottle store.
- Extra wide Seitz sliding window unit with integrated blind and fly screen allows a lot of natural light and ventilation to the working area.
- Dimmable LED strip light spanning the full length of the kitchen.
- Dometic fridge with separate freezer (same size as your average domestic fridge-freezer)
- Thetford Caprice 3x ring gas hob & oven with the capacity to cook a decent meal for 4 or more.
- Stainless steel sink and drainer with new mixer tap (Connects to shower attachment).

- Yokohama tyres all around with +/-9mm tread
- Tow-bar with 3.5 tonne capacity, 2x 7 pin sockets + vacuum take-off for a braked trailer
