Absolutely gutted to be selling my beautiful beast :( 1998 Mercedes Sprinter 208D, 2.3L Diesel Campervan. A completely joy to drive, such a great driving experience. Retro exterior and handmade wooden interior.
I've lived in this camper for 2 years full time with comfortability and enjoyment. It's such a perfect van for someone looking to get into van life. It has all the necessary features for living in a camper.
I bought the van 2.5 years ago and have spent thousands on bodywork repairs and upgrades in the living area. Before summer, I spent a couple thousand on the underside of the van, it was very rusty and had to be replaced with new, welded steel. This means it should pass through the next MOT with a breeze.
These engines are notoriously indestructible, I've had chats with other van owners about the durability of these engines. And, funnily enough, the engine has not ceased to chug along once since I've owned it.
Tyres in good nick, wing mirror and wiper recently replaced, brake pads and discs replaced recently, sills on both sides replaced with new steel earlier this year.
