COLIN THE CADDY CAMPER

i’m very upset to be parting ways with my beloved colin the caddy camper. colin is a 2006 2.0 SDI Caddy Van with 214,000 miles on the clock. i’ve owned colin the camper since 2021 and the van was part of the family business around 2018 - before this i believe the van was owned by a landscaping firm. the van has been maintained by the business and myself since with some trips to garage where needed. partial service history can be provided.

i’ve loved and cherished this van, i converted it back in 2021 into a camper and later converted it into another design in 2025. this van has genuinely never failed me; while he can be a little hard to start in the cold, he always keeps chugging along. as a naturally aspirated 2.0 diesel, it’s as gutless as anything - but he’ll always get you there. last year, i drove all the way to croatia and back without a single hiccup.

the van is fully kitted out with a leisure battery, lights, stove and sink (with clean and waste water tanks). the bed is a slide out bed and can fit two 6ft guys in the back (as tested down to croatia). there is a solar charging kit in the back which can be attached to the battery. also comes with carplay head unit in the front. i’m leaving all the cooking equipment, firewood, gas, etc. so all you need provide is a blanket, some food and you’re fit for the road.

HOWEVER - i’m not going to beat around the bush - it’s a 20 year old van. if you’re looking for a luxury camper experience then colin is not for you. however if you’re looking for a little stealthy day camper who has given me years of adventures, joy and memories then look no further. colin has his quirks and could definitely do with a little bit of TLC:

FOR EXAMPLE
- the sliding side door doesn’t lock
- recent MOT has a couple advisories, major ones have been repaired
- recent respray on the lower quarter and some rusty patches on the body work
- scratches, dents and bumps along the bodywork
- very occasionally, the stereo doesn’t connect to carplay and you need to pull the fuse
- colin has been SORN’d for the last 6 months, however the van holds a fresh 12 months MOT

however, he will always have a very fond place in my heart. colin is welcome for viewings and i’d be happy to discuss the price with the right buyer :)
