Buell, M2, 1998, 1200 (cc) Swap

Bought this on an impulse as always wanted one and they rarely come up for sale.

Long Mot April 2027, no history, v5 in my name.

Was going to donor everything into a hardtail frame but it’s too good and I really need a bike better suited for pillion duties so if you have anything and fancy a deal let me know.

Just fitted a brand new drive belt, it’s had a shock recently and heated grips. Has Vance and Hines exhaust which sounds great.

It looks great but it’s 28 years old so not mint, swingarm lets it down a bit and could do with a paint or powdercoat, it had a hugger fitted which hid most of it. Needs a speedo drive, I replaced the cable but it’s the drive at the wheel that’s broken. Tank has a couple of little bubbles.

Can get a nearly new swingarm on eBay for £100, powdercoat it black and swap over.

Runs and rides great, it’s brilliant fun but need a two up bike.

*Ordered a replacement Speedo drive and have fitted a temp belt guard using the old hugger.

Also comes with a brand new 61t rear pulley that needs the centre turned out slightly to match the Buell hub as it’s Harley centre bore.

Wouldn’t take much to get mint and have a cool, tube framed early Buell that your not going to park up anlongside another at your local bike meet anytime soon.

£3800 with Dan Death hardtail frame (last pic shows it mocked up with a w650 motor) if you want to go down that route. Ive also got some chunky fatboy forks that could go with. I’ve got another project on the go already and can’t bring myself to donor the Buell.
