BSA BANTAM 1961 D7 175 Super

Here we have my 1961 D7 BSA bantam.

As you can see from the photos she is in really good condition and ready for a light restoration.
I bought the bike over a year ago with the intention of getting her back on the road to take to shows.
As far as I know all she needs, engine wise is a kick start return spring and a battery.

I bought the battery and return spring with gasket and the engine oil and it all has just sat on the shelf waiting to be fitted. Engine turns over freely, Inside the fuel tank is very good.

I also went to the trouble with re registering the bike for the road as it had been in a private collection since the late 1970s. so was not longer road registered.

Long story short I spent over £110 registering with the BSA club, getting the bike verified and all the paper work that entails. Then sent everything off to DVLA (£67) and now the bike is registered back on the road with the log book in my name.

I can tell you, that was a pain in the bum to do.

Bike will come with the parts and oil I bought for it, think that lot cost me £90 on top of the £110 to get it registered.

The bike was first registered in Scotland and as far as I know the bike has never left Scotland. I have all the paperwork that the BSA club found out for it to be re registered.

So I know when and where the bike was first registered which is nice to know.

This really will make a cracking bike to put back on the road or just to take to shows. I will go check the mileage but off top of my head it was 15.000 something.

looking at the condition of other BSA bantams of this year that need recommissioning, this really is a good one to start with. As far as I know its all original, but I am no expert.

The only reason I am listing this bike is we need a cheap small 1.2 litre car so I am listing this to help towards buying a small car.

Please no silly offers I am more than happy to keep the bike and when summer comes get it up and running. My wife wants me to keep the bike as she loves it.

Anyway please look at the photos so you know what you are buying. I will take better photos when it stops raining and I can get the bike out. I have just listed the bike on a bit of a whim to see if I could buy a car sooner than later.

I can deliver the bike within 80 miles or so for the cost of fuel as long as its been seen and paid for in full
