Here is my experience of JJ. I needed my apple tree pruning. JJ responded promptly to my request on Bark. They arrived and a price was agreed for pruning; a but more than I expected at £400. A little while after they had started pruning I was advised that the tree was sick and needed to be cut down. An extra of fee of £300 was agreed for cutting down the tree, treating the wood and cutting it up for firewood. After they left I discovered the pieces of wood were too big to put on the fire so I got another tree surgeon to give me a second opinion on whether the tree was sick and to cut up the wood into smaller pieces. I was told the tree was not sick, but was old and several more years of life left in it. The fee for the second tree surgeon was less 10% of what I paid JJ.

Employed these guys for a small tree surgery job, they ripped me off, and would have extracted a whole lot more money had I not gone to get a second opinion.

John responded very promptly to our Sunday request and we arranged an appointment to advise us on the health of our rowan and possible ways forward within 36 hours. The team arrived promptly. Our suspicions that the tree was dying were confirmed. We were offered immediate removal and disposal at what we deemed a very reasonable price. The team were polite, professional and careful workers, respecting fully our request not to damage nearby shrubs which were impeding the felling. The work was completed within an hour to our complete satisfaction and the garden was left very tidy. A good job well done!
