Eventually, realizing that the only escape from impending evil was to invoke the punishment upon the disbelievers, Nūh (peace be upon him) beseeched Allah for their doom to save himself and his followers. This Surah emphasizes that falsehood will perish, and the truth will inevitably prevail, asserting the deservedness of the punishment upon those who wronged themselves.
