Description

'Quiddity'; a very capable coastal cruiser, fully insulated with heating and solar power, being perfect for a liveaboard. I sail her all year round, so she has seen and proved herself in countless gales. I have been in a force 9 a few times with her and she proves herself to be very stiff and stands up to her sail well. I have maintained and upgraded her meticulously.

Mirage 28. Bilge keeled. Masthead sloop with 160% furling genoa and in-mast furling mainsail. ALL lines lead aft.
Mainsail only 12 months old, in perfect condition. Genoa around 4 or 5 years old, good condition. There is also a spare genoa in pretty condition except for the sacrifical UV strip has torn off most of it. I beleive an old owner replaced this instead of mending it.
FULLY insulated above the waterline in 10mm closed cell foam, with brand new headlining over this.
Tiller steering with Raymarine ST2000+ autohelm.
Beta 20hp engine. 170 hours (will increase slightly as boat is still in use). Fully and professionally serviced from new. Last service June '25. Shaft drive, with fixed 3 blade bronze propeller. 50l stainless steel tank (with inspection hatch and easily removable).
300w of solar panels, with a victron charge controller. She has been lived on off-grid all year round for 3 years now.
2x 120ah lead acid batteries. A 2nd battery position with box and all wiring is present (but no batteries).
Spinnaker pole (used for poling out genoa).
Nasa depth sounder, Clipper log, Clipper anemometer. Standard Horizon VHF with DSC. There is a plotter onboard but it isn't wired in (I navigate by paper). 2 compasses, for ease of use on each tack. All expected navigation lights etc.
Stereo with a pair of 40w speakers added on top of the standard 'car-type' speakers.
Chinese diesel heater, been used only 3 times since installing new this Christmas.
240v radiator heater and plenty of outlets.
Vanessa dual hob and grill. Gas supply on a solenoid valve.
Jabsco Heads.
120l plastimo tank with Whale footpumps at both heads and galley sinks.
35m 8mm galvanised chain, marked for depth, and probably another 50m rope.

I went up the mast mid summer '25 and checked all fixings etc, changed a few suspect rivets.
She was lifted and antifouled December '25, with anodes and all other underwater fittings checked.
Checked the chain plates summer '25; all stainless and in perfect condition.

I have some more photos; Facebook wouldn't let me post more than 10. Ask me if you would like them.
I'm selling as I want to buy a Nicholson 32.
Any other questions, just ask. Adding some terms to assist searching; boat, yacht, sailboat
