I'm selling my cosy, cute and charming 1939 40ft x 9ft Dutch barge due to an expanding family and a size upgrade. She needs a bit of love but is fully ready to move in and start your new adventure.

She was last blacked 5 years ago and was surveyed just over a year ago.

She comes with a powerful Mercedes 4-cylinder diesel engine. We recently had the engine serviced, cleaned oil and coolant lines and installed a brand new starter battery.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need for comfortable living. A 220L water tank for a steady supply for all your needs, complemented by a gas-powered hot water system. The wet room features a convenient shower (will need to be reconnected), a cassette toilet, and a grey water waste pump for your convenience.

She has a gorgeous and spacious galley kitchen with a 2 ring gas hob, allowing you to unleash your culinary creativity and the wood burner keeps us very toasty and cosy during the winters.

This Dutch barge also has some modern amenities to enhance your onboard experience. A 24V 100Ah lithium leisure battery, along with a 300W inverter and 600W solar panels with a Victron charge controller, ensure efficient and sustainable power. For additional power supply during the darker months, I can also throw in my generator (although I personally only used a couple of times last winter and haven't had to use it this winter yet). As long as you keep the solar panels clean you should be very well supplied!

I've been living aboard for just over a year now but sadly didn't have the time to complete some of the work. She's fully ready to live aboard but will need a bit of TLC to really bring out her best side. I had the plumbing pipe work redone recently but did not get round to reinstalling the shower. I was also in the process of upgrading the water tank so disconnected the old one from the pipes but did not get around to purchasing a new one. The old 220L is still here it just needs to be reconnected.

She would suit someone who would enjoy taking on a bit of a project to fully bring out the best in her and make her their own, hence the lower price.

I'm not in a hurry to sell and I'm open to negotiating sensible offers.
