Aracen (Sail No. 386Y) is a beautiful 1962 East Anglian MkII Sloop built by Dixon Kerly Ltd of Maldon, Essex. Representing the pinnacle of traditional English wooden boatbuilding, she is a sound, capable, and remarkably easy-to-handle coastal cruiser—ideal for single-handed sailing or a couple looking to explore.

Bought in 2022 and wintered ashore annually, Aracen has been thoughtfully upgraded from a basic day sailer into a fully equipped, comfortable 'weekend getaway yacht.' She is being sold reluctantly only to move to a larger vessel for family life.

Key Upgrades & Recent Investment
Sails & Rigging: Keel-stepped Seldén alloy mast & boom with slab reefing, Bamar vang, and stainless standing rigging. Sail wardrobe includes a mainsail and 3 headsails (two in near-new condition).

Engine & Machinery: Yanmar 2GM20 twin-cylinder diesel (annually serviced). New raw water pump (2023) and new impeller pump (2026). Fixed 3-blade bronze prop. Cleaned stainless steel 50L fuel tank with new inspection hatch.
