It would be no exaggeration to say this is the best car I have ever owned in my life (with exception to my current Aston which is in a different category). I have never driven such a quiet car even with its 2 litre 4 cylinder (B48) engine with cuts in on system demand in automatic mode. In manual override mode, there are nine combinations of Sport, Comfort and Evo-Pro combined with override switches that place the car in Electric only, Save and automatic system chosen mode. These cars are known as ‘Parallel PHEVs’ which means the two engines (the petrol ICB and the electric motor can be driven together almost doubling the power output. Don‘t quote me on that because I don’t know the figures. But it goes like the proverbial off a stick in SPORT mode even when the main battery is depleted. The service history is up to date and as with all my vehicles I change the oil every 5000 miles instead of 10,000. I use the old oil to mix with creosote to paint fences with. Why am I selling it? Because I have put a deposit on a later model BMW X5 45e Hybrid. I would recommend buying a plug-in 7 amp charger from Screwfix because the car’s own hybrid system is not designed to charge up to 100%, that’s the way they are, this might be to conserve the life of the lithium iron battery- which incidentally charges the other two on board 12volt auxiliary batteries under the tailgate lid. THIS CAR COMES WITH A TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY IF REQUIRED. MOT January 2027, All tyres recently changed, two on the rear in January for the last MOT. These cars are great to run in electric mode to get to the local Tesco and back, just switch out the petrol engine and charge for free at Tesco. Its only 10 minutes ‘but every little bit helps!’.
