BMW X5 3.0D – Spares or Repair

Reluctantly offered for sale is our BMW X5 3.0D, which has been our family vehicle for the last few years and has served us exceptionally well. It starts, runs and drives, and has been a reliable daily vehicle right up until its recent MOT failure.

Unfortunately, due to the cost of repairs required to pass the MOT, we've decided not to proceed with the work and would rather see the vehicle go to someone who can repair it, use it for parts, or return it to the road.

The main MOT failure relates to the exhaust system, with the full list of failures shown in the MOT image. Please review these carefully before making an offer.

Additional points worth noting:
• Isofix child seat base fitted in the rear, currently seized in place and unable to be removed
• Yellow warning triangle illuminated on the dashboard (not investigated, so exact cause unknown)
• Some rust visible on the sills, as shown in the photographs
• General age-related marks and wear consistent with a vehicle of this age and mileage

As the vehicle has no MOT or tax, it will need to be collected on trade plates, a trailer, recovery truck, or similar.
