Description
After much deliberation, I have decided to part with my BMW E46 Compact.
Originally purchased new by my parents in Belgium in 2002, the car was then driven back to the UK and registered here shortly afterwards. I took ownership in 2010 and kept the car until 2016, when it was sold to a close friend who carefully looked after it during his ownership. I reacquired the car in 2022, and it has remained with me since.
The car is currently believed to have a timing chain issue. It does start and run, however it occasionally cuts out when driven. Following several garage visits and attempts to diagnose the fault, including sensor replacements and troubleshooting, the likely cause has been identified as the timing chain.
The vehicle has been off the road since August 2023 and currently has no MOT. Due to other commitments, I unfortunately do not have the time, funds, or expertise to undertake the repairs myself. However, for an enthusiast or mechanically minded buyer, this presents an excellent opportunity to take on a rewarding restoration/project car.
The car is located in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire (ST14) and will need to be collected via trailer or transporter.
