Description

This 2012 BMW 1 series 116i Sport is a great hatchback which combines premium German engineering with practical usability and low running costs. This car is a very comfortable drive whether it be for daily use or touring. Powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine, this model offers a balanced driving experience combined with a Sport trim which adds a stylish look and exceptional driving experience. The car stands out with its large boot space, which is very useful, its low insurance group to help with affordability, and economical or sports mode driving to suit a wide range of driving styles. The M sport wingmirrors on the exterior adds to the great sporty look of the car, these were already on the car when I bought it in 2023.

This BMW has a clear history with no previous damages. This car has had recent work to ensure the engine and performance are up to the brands high standard. All 4 spark plugs and a faulty ignition coil were replaced in August. A general service replacing the oil filter, air filter, and oil was carried out in July. All brake pads and discs were replaced in March at ~99,000 miles, and all 4 tyres were replaced in February 2025 at ~90,000 miles which are still in good condition. The nearside (passenger side) day light is faulty however this is accommodated in the lower price. These recent maintenance fixes mean that this car shouldn’t need any further work done to it for at least another 20,000 – 30,000 miles. This is shown in the pictures provided at the end (44 – 50).

Viewing and test drive is welcomed providing proof of insurance. MOT history (passed 11/04/2026), service history, and history check documents and receipts/invoices will be available during viewing. This car has been well looked after by myself and its previous owners. My reason for selling this great car is that at the end of September I will be moving to New Zealand. Hoping to sell this car in the week of the 21st September, as I need to continue using it to commute for work up until I leave. This may mean the car mileage may be closer 106,000 during sale but this is reflected in its lower price.

As expected with the age and mileage of this car, it unfortunately does have some external scratches and scuffs. These are highlighted in pictures 35 – 43 along. The condensation in the nearside headlight, is an issue I bought the car with, however it has no effect on the light beam, and it is not a safety concern/ issue.
