Non runner, but in overall good condition. Never dropped or crashed, this is an brilliant project for some one who wants a lot of motorcycle for not much money. It broke down in 2021 during Covid, and got put into the back of my workshop. Instead of getting on with repairing the fault, I bought a 2022 R1250RT, but now the time has come when I must do something with Bikey McBikeface 1.
The problem I think is the fuel pump or fuel pump controller. I was riding the bike when it just stopped dead. Nothing went bang or catastrophically failed, so it's quite likely to be an easy fix. Other things I know need doing are the front fork oil seals require replacement - I have a new set which I'll give to the next owner. The engine needs a service, and the old battery is dead - I have a new one which I will fit before collection.
It has a large Givi top box with the rear light and brake light fitted, and original BMW panniers.
It has a custom exhaust which gives it a nice sound - not noisy, but a bit sportier than the original system. It also improves the mid range power quite a bit. Otherwise, the bike is standard.
This is a wonderful bike, handles brilliantly, economic, and very comfortable. Priced realistically, note that you will need a trailer to collect it, and of course, the MOT expired in 2021.
