Raleigh Ascender men's / teenage boys' hybrid / mountain / commuter bike / bicycle for sale.
I have owned this for many years.
I am selling it as I have now acquired a newer commuter bike, and I'm trying to clear out my outbuildings.
Cycled it into work today and gave it a good wash and lubricated the chain etc.
This bike was hand-built in the UK; most bikes these days are mass-produced in China / Bangladesh etc.
Additions:
Handlebar bar-ends.
Derailleur guard.
Aluminium alloy wheels / Ritchey Vantage rim.
Schwalbe Marathon Plus (puncture-resistant) tyres, cost new is £30 each.
Blackburn aluminium alloy pannier rack, cost new is £60 (I previously used this with a Rhode Gear child seat, not included in sale).
Reflective spoke sleeves (easy to remove if you don't like them) so that the bike is visible side-on at night.
Proper full-length mudguards, essential for commuting, cost £20.
The pictured bike lights are not included; I'll be removing these prior to the sale, as I will be putting them on my new bike.
