Mint condition Orbit Gold Medal. Sheffield's finest touring bike, on the same level as Dawes Super Galaxy from Birmingham. Both made with Reynolds 531 ST. By far the strongest and lightest tubing.

53cm ↕️ 51cm Top tube.
Suitable for someone around 5ft 2+.

I have upgraded all the parts to bring the spec level from Galaxy (Downtube Shifters) to modern handlebar shifters.

Most of the Touring Bikes you will find online have travelled a million miles around the globe for 35 years. So all the components are completely worn out. Especially the 36 Spoke wheels. All my touring bikes have very low mileage wheels and components.

Having worm wheels are dangerous when carrying weight. The thin aluminium braking surface will snap under load if heavily worn. This happened to me when I collected a vintage Dawes. Did not make it 50 miles before the wheel braking surface collapsed and blew my tyre.
With my touring bikes, I build them for a long life and trouble free for many years.


Extremely rare to find one in such good condition. Fully refurbished and ready to ride many thousands of miles.

I Mudguards,panniers, rack are available. Plus. I have a front pannier rack. DM if you require the full touring set up. This takes a full half day to set up, so I can point you in the direction of some good suppliers if you want to DIY. Each bolt is a different size, plus spacers, plus Loctite thread lock has to be applied. It's time consuming.


Comes with a standard new Comfy saddle. Brooks saddle available. DM for details

Mid 90's Model. As with all my steel bikes; Zero rust.

Excellent condition Shimano Triple Chainset with equivalent Deore BCD chainrings. So easy to find replacements online. When touring thousands of km, your parts will ware out 10 times quicker than town riding. Having easy access to parts online makes replacement easy and accessible. All parts on a Orbit are super easy to find. Delivery from Bikeinn takes 3/5 days anywhere in Europe. AliExpress around 6/7 days. Quicker and cheaper than using a bike store if you plan ahead.
Most importantly, Orbit bikes are easy to maintain. Unlike a modern Gravel bike.
