The Bentley Continental R represents one of the most significant grand touring cars of the modern Bentley era. Handbuilt at the historic factory in Crewe, the Continental R was the first Bentley since the 1960s to feature a body not shared with Rolls-Royce, signalling a return to a more independent and performance-focused identity for the brand. Under the long, sculpted bonnet sits Bentleys legendary 6.75-litre turbocharged V8 engine, paired with a smooth four-speed automatic transmission. The powerplant produced around 385 bhp and immense torque, delivering effortless acceleration despite the cars substantial weight. The Continental R could accelerate from 0-60 mph in about six seconds-remarkable for a luxury coupe of its size and refinement.
