We’re seeking a friendly, hands-on couple to manage the Cricketers Arms, a well-located pub near Selby Abbey and the town’s Market Place. With a busy bar and upstairs trade kitchen, it’s a welcoming spot for locals and visitors alike.

This is a permanent, salaried, live-in position with full training and ongoing support from our independent Tadcaster brewery. You’ll enjoy the independence of running your own pub while taking pride in serving Samuel Smith beers – brewed locally and sold exclusively in our pubs. It’s more than a job; it’s a lifestyle in a bustling town setting.

Busy town pub with upstairs trade kitchen
Friendly, welcoming atmosphere
Located near Selby Abbey and the Market Place, in the heart of the community

Roles & Benefits:

Permanent joint management contract with Samuel Smith Brewery
Rent-free managers’ flat above the pub
All utilities paid by the brewery (excluding council tax)
Full training provided – previous experience helpful but not essential
£1,000 security deposit required (standard and fully refundable)
Opportunity to make the Cricketers Arms a hub for the local community
