A lovely family based in Islington are seeking an experienced full time housekeeper / nanny / cook to care for their two children, aged 4 and 8 years old, while helping with the smooth running of their family home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare, housekeeping and cooking.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for children of a similar age and be confident managing school routines, after-school activities and evening routines. They should also have strong housekeeping skills and enjoy preparing fresh, home-cooked meals for the family. The successful candidate should be organised, discreet and able to work independently. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.

Duties include:

providing attentive and nurturing care for the children
supporting the children’s morning and after-school routines
school and nursery drop-offs and collections when required
preparing healthy breakfasts, snacks and meals
preparing fresh home-cooked meals for the family
planning simple menus according to the family’s preferences
assisting with homework, reading and school-related tasks
planning fun and age-appropriate activities
organising creative, educational and outdoor play
taking the children to clubs, activities and appointments when required
supporting bath time and evening routines
keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
organising school bags, uniforms and children’s belongings
undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
laundry and ironing
making beds and changing bed linen
wardrobe and clothing care
maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
grocery shopping and managing household food supplies
running occasional household errands
ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly at all times

Requirements:

Current Paediatric First Aid

Current Enhanced DBS

UK Work Permit
