Description
A bespoke bed I built for my daughter in 2020. She has outgrown it. Ideal for kids from around 3 and will last until they are around 10. It has now been dismantled and the staircase split into manageable pieces so it will fit through doorways etc. I put a lot of work into it and wouldn’t want it to go to waste. The staircase could be added to a bespoke bed or platform/mezzanine play area.
If anyone is interested, you need to be aware that it’s not just a case of picking it up and putting it back together in your house. It would be a small project for a skilled joiner/builder. You would need a good joiner to form the correct sized alcove (mine was for a single mattress so alcove was 1955mm x 1000mm), build the platform at the correct height, and then rebuild the staircase and handrails etc. There would then be sanding, filling and painting. I have kept the carpet on the stairs so it could be reused if needed or possibly renewed to match the bedroom carpet.
