A “VVC Mini” refers to a classic Mini that has been converted to use a Rover 1800cc VVC or Variable Valve Control engine; a high-performance, variable valve timing engine developed by Rover and never fitted as a standard factory Mini engine. These are a popular conversion in the Classic Mini world, they offer significant power and torque increase over the standard Mini’s.

The vendor reports that the usual panels have been replaced; floors, sills, boot, rear valance, back panels, front inner wings, door skins scuttle panel and where required reinforcements have been made for the increased power of the engine i.e. floors and the tunnel.

It’s been fitted wit an MGF subframe and running gear along with Watson wheel spacers on the rear, a 2 inch sport exhaust and a Mini MPI fuel tank; a tank specifically designed for Multi Point Injection models of the Classic Mini.
Due to room limitations it has been fitted with a Clubman fibreglass front end and Miglia wide wheel arches , riding on 14inch alloy wheel with good tyres showing 5mm tread.

The interior console is flax material lined with a new heater matrix, Metro clocks and switch gear, Metro seats, a red carpet set and rear seat delete. The rollcage is ready to be certified and any further works could be carried out to your own specification - or just use it as it is now all the hard work has been done.

The vendor reports some bodywork defects such as light scratches in places all of which can be seen in the photographs and walkaround video..

The V5 and HPi still report the engine size as 1000cc but as it becomes tax and mot exempt at the end of September this change could be applied for along with the Historic Vehicle Status.
