Location: Manchester City Centre (Deansgate) - Fully office-based

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Negotiable (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role:

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Garment Technologist to join our growing team in central Manchester. Key Responsibilities:

You will be working across various product categories, including:

Menswear / Boyswear - Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer collections

Mens/Boys Footwear

Additional product categories such as denim, shorts, and trousers

Technical Responsibilities:

Create development specs from CADs or original samples at the start of each season

Measure samples at all stages: first fit, pre-production (PP), and production

Lead and conduct in-house live fit sessions

Generate clear, comprehensive fit comments and amend specifications accordingly

Provide technical diagrams and communicate daily with factories

Advise factories on testing requirements (e.g., base fabric, bulk, zip tests)

Conduct basic in-house wash tests as needed

Review and approve care label layouts and interpret test reports

Assess weekly bulk inspection reports from our China office

Assist with reviewing final packing lists, packaging, and barcoding

Provide commercial decisions on bulk quality issues

Carry out UK warehouse checks when required (East Manchester location)

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a Garment Technologist or similar technical role is essential

Strong administrative skills and attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn

Confident working both independently and collaboratively within a team

Additional Information:

Office-based role: Monday-Friday (some flexibility with working hours)

Close collaboration with design, merchandising, and product development teams
