Our brief to Henry was to create a ground-floor extension that would not only improve the quality of our living space but also enhance the flow of our home and deliver practical elements—a dedicated study and utility area. Having considered several options, Henry thoughtfully designed a space which satisfied all our wants. He created a living space that connects seamlessly with the patio and garden, as well as offering practical storage and a quiet escape space. Having agreed on a floor layout, we worked collaboratively on an elevation that we love and that we feel also respects the original house. At the next stage, Henry was able to recommend an engineer who designed the structural elements for us and who was also responsive to design alterations. Having interviewed several architects before choosing Henry, I enjoyed his relatable manner, the methods he used for approaching and refining our brief and his patience and consistency in the face of what were, at times, prolonged questions and discussions from us. I highly recommend Henry and thank him for working with us so successfully.
