Original vintage 1970s NEETA LTD child’s school chair, with shaped plywood seat and back on a brown tubular-steel frame.

The underside retains its original factory stencil, clearly marked “NEETA LTD”, together with a 1970s date marking (final year digit faded) and a production/reference number which appears to read 711099/129. Please see the detailed photographs of the original markings.

A wonderfully authentic piece of British institutional/school furniture with substantial original patina from decades of use. The plywood shows scratches, scuffs, worn finish, paint traces and other age-related marks, while the tubular-steel frame also shows wear. This is very much part of the chair’s character and I have deliberately not refinished it.

Approximate dimensions: 65 cm overall height × 35 cm maximum width × 43 cm maximum overall depth. Seat height 33 cm; seat depth approximately 33 cm.

A characterful original 1970s piece for a child’s room, vintage interior, display, prop or collector of British institutional furniture.
