Description
Pretty set of 6 vintage Art Deco glazed Earthenware food storage containers for: Riz (Rice), Sucre. (Sugar), Cafe (Coffee), Chicoree (Chicory-used as a coffee substitute in the 20's - 40's), Vermicelle (Thin Pasta for soups), Pates (Pasta, larger shapes).
Purchased in the Loire in France 26 years ago.
In good condition with some wear and tear commensurate with age. There are a few nibbles to ceramic and a couple of small chips around the top rim on a couple of the containers and on one underside of lid (shown twice erroneously on photos of different labelled containers Chicory and Vermicelle), but nothing that detracts from the beauty or stability of them.
These are quite weighty and substantial containers, so have plenty of life in them yet.
Would look wonderful displayed on a dresser or shelf in a kitchen.

I don't trust any postal service that would be affordable I'm afraid, labelling Fragile just means they drop them from a greater height I suspect!
