THIS IS A VERY RARE SCULPTURE OF EITHER A BAMILEKE, OR A BAMUM STOOL. LIKELY FROM CAMAROON WEST AFRICA. THE STOOLS ARE SIGNIFICANTLY IN AFRICAN ART PARTICULARY AMONG BAMILEKE BAMUM PEOPLE WHERE THEY SYMBOLIZE ROYALY AND POWER.
