The 1985 Queen Elizabeth II £1 coin is a classic British coin struck in nickel-brass and issued for general circulation. The obverse features the third official portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Raphael Maklouf, with the inscription “ELIZABETH II D·G·REG·F·D·1985”.
