Description
Occasional/side table - 75cm wide x 48cm high
Octagonal top and turned legs with stretcher base.
Decorative pierced galleried shelf at the stretcher (“birdcage” or “galleried under-tier” design).
The overall style is a mixture of late Victorian / Edwardian influence with Gothic-style tracery on the under-tier.
Understood to be solid wood (probably mahogany) The underside shows hand-cut elements but also machine turning, pointing towards late 19th – early 20th century manufacture.
Top surface scratched and worn.
Some wear to the legs and gallery.
Structurally stable, would benefit from cosmetic restoration.
