Beautiful Grace Darling Oil painting styled. The history of Grace Darling Grace Darling (1815–1842) was a lighthouse keeper’s daughter from Northumberland, remembered for her extraordinary bravery during a storm in 1838. When the ship Forfarshire wrecked off the Farne Islands, she and her father rowed through violent seas to rescue survivors — a feat that captured Victorian Britain’s imagination.
Although the date and artist is unknown this is a beautiful painting with a deep history in a lovely dark stained hardwood frame. With glass front to keep painting protected.
