Italian music box with Sorrento Inlaid marquetry Swiss Roller movement c1960s

Delightful Italian Wind-Up 18-Note Reuge music box hand-worked by craftsmen in Sorrento and purchased there during a 1960s holiday.
A small vintage jewellery box that combines Swiss engineering with Italian craftsmanship.
The Swiss mechanism plays a delicate and accurate tune when the lid is opened.
The highly skillful marquetry depicts a floral or vine theme often produced in that area of Italy.
This particular music box has the very appropriate tune of Torna a Surriento (Come Back to Sorrento) from where the box originated.

A used item that, once held dress jewellery, is still in lovely condition but may show some signs of previous normal use consistent with its age.
The mechanism has never been uncovered as it always works perfectly and winds easily.
