Vintage Brexton picnic hampers are iconic examples of British picnic-ware, representing the peak of outdoor leisure and motoring culture in the 1950s and 1960s. Produced by Brookes & Sexton (the source of the name "Brexton"), these sets are renowned for their compact, "suitcase-style" design and high-quality, durable components.


Brexton was a premier British manufacturer, operating primarily out of Birmingham.
These sets became highly popular during the post-war era, coinciding with the rise of British classic car rallies and family outings.

This hamper is a typical hard-shelled robust rectangular wooden case covered in blue cloth

Perfect for a vintage, classic car or Retro event, such as Goodwood, or those days out in the camper.

Good /fair condition - crockery has no chips (apart from a crack in one tea cup and the Stewart boxes have a crack on the bottoms - see images) ; although the interior of the box is a little marked and the outside has a few marks too. However, this doesn’t distract from the overall item.

Comes in its original blue case.
