Antique Longcase Grandfather Clock working but needs attention.

Description

Antique Longcase Grandfather Clock circa Mid to late Victorian era. Overall height 87 inches (2210cms), Width 24 inches (610 cms) and depth 10..5 inches (265 cms).

The clock is gravity driven having two weights which are key wound.

The face is hand painted depicting a hunting scene around Roman numeral face. There are two subdials - PLEASE NOTE: the seconds subdial works but the date subdial is for show only. This is likely to be due either to a modification to the movement or changed from the original.

The clock strikes a bell on the hour for the respective hour - 3 strikes for 3 O'clock, 4 strikes for 4 O'clock and so on.

The clock works but needs some attention as it stops after 30 minutes or so. This may be because it needs servicing or simply to be situated on level ground as it was photographed on uneven tiled floor.

The case shows signs of age and there's slight damage to the right mid section corner as shown in the photographs.

This is cash on collection but may be able to deliver for cost of fuel depending on location.
