Antique Dry Point Etching, 'The Ferry to The Rose and Thistle' by Rober Walker Macbeth. C.1890
Signed.
Original frame with paper label on rear.
Born in Glasgow 1848-1910. Macbeth was a painter, etcher and watercolourist, specialising in pastoral landscapes.
His father was portrait painter, Norman Macbeth.
From 1871 he exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Fine Art Society in London.
He died in Golders Green, London.
The original watercolour hangs in V&A.
Frame size 83xm x 63cm
Some minor marks to the mount but the etching image is fine.
