Description
Edwardian antique mahogany Card Table, circa 1900 with 4 opening leaves. The leaves open to reveal a green baize base. The top is decorated with an intricate inlaid marquetry design.
The table features stretchers to support the four, inlaid, tapering legs which are fitted with porcelain castors. There is a single drawer with brass, ornate, drop handles.
To open the table, the square top swivels and the four hinged, triangular flaps turn over to reveal the green baize gaming area, creating a card table to seat four players.
Approximate dimensions 22“ square x 29 inches tall. (56 x 56 x 74 cm).
The table opens up fully to 31" square, (79cm x 79cm)
There are some age-related marks, but the card table is in a generally good condition commensurate with age and still fully functional for use.
Made from Mahogany, this beautiful piece of craftsmanship will take pride of place in a living or games room. The perfect size for 4 players, this games table doubles as an extremely smart lamp table when not in use for games.
