Description
High quality 18th century oak coffer bearing an inscription and dated 1786. Likely Dutch or German, it retains beautiful original ironwork including twist handles, strap hinges and a working lock and key. Lovely clean condition inside with original candle box. Few marks and nicks as to be expected. See photos for condition. It’s just too big for our home so we need to sell. Slight dome top but it’s very shallow so you can still put items on top. It’s super heavy and needs a van to move it or a very large car. Measures 124cm long, 68cm wide and 80cm tall. Priced to sell for a true antique.
