Description
Item Description
Up for sale is a rare, 1st Generation SWR Redhead 2x10 Bass Combo Amplifier (240W).
CRITICAL PRO UPGRADE:
The early 1st-generation Redhead models relied purely on passive cooling, which caused the chassis to run very hot. To ensure absolute reliability and protect the vintage electronics, I have upgraded this amp with two quiet internal cooling fans controlled by a thermal sensor.
The fans kick in automatically when the amp reaches 50°C and turn off once it cools down. This custom modification keeps the amp safe during long gigs or rehearsal sessions without affecting the original audio pathway. [1]
🚨 PLEASE NOTE – BONUS EXTENSION CAB SEEN IN PICTURE:
The lower cabinet shown in the photos is a custom-built 2x10 Bass Cabinet (a high-quality copy of the famous SWR Goliath).
It is NOT included in the price of this listing.
However, it is available for separate purchase for £120.
It pairs beautifully with this Redhead combo to create a massive, high-performing 4x10 vintage rig! If you are interested in buying both as a stack, please send me a message.
