Description
Naim DAC-V1
Much loved Naim DAC-V1 for sale – mint condition, no scratches. From a smoke & pet free home.
Original box, power cable (unused), remote handset (batteries not included),
All paperwork manual, warranty card and invoice.
Fully working (including screen and all buttons) and sounds GREAT !
We fed the DAC with music files from a PC via the USB port and then onto a Bryston 3Bsst power amp and Harbeth Super Compact 7 speakers.
We used the Naim DAC as the volume control/pre-amp and it worked perfectly in this role.
It would also work as a fantastic standalone headphone amp as it has a dedicated headphone socket at the front (which automatically switches off the line outputs when in use).
After much testing we have replaced our Naim DAC with a Mola Mola – Tambaqui costing much more –
It was launched by Naim to rave reviews at a time when harsh and brittle sounding DACs were the norm.
This unit belies that reputation completely, It has a warm, tube-like sound but perfectly controlled – an ideal mix between analogue and digital technologies.
Even when things get busy the sound never gets muddy or confused.
The Naim is just so natural, “musical” and easy to listen to – that’s not to say it can’t rock out when you push the volume up though! In fact the biggest problem our neighbours had was that we just wanted to turn it up and up and up
Collection from CM7 4HD or CM18 6XL is OK to save the courier & Insurance cost, silly money but hey thats what it is
Keep your eyes on other listings as some Musical fidelty pre and power amps will be put up soon, got to pay for the Mola Mola 😊😊
