Description
A UK designed Audiophile Denon amplifier in full working order and good condition.
Kicked off by the Pioneer A400, the 90s saw a trend of big Japanese manufacturers hiring UK designers to design low cost minimalist audiophile amplifiers. In 1993 Denon introduced the £250 PMA-450 as it's contender. There are a couple of good contemporary reviews on the net.
It has a phono stage for a turntable, can run 2 sets of speaker and has a headphone socket. Internal construction is very good with toroidal transformer and audio capacitors from the likes of Ansar, and a high quality ALPS volume pot.
It is an exciting sounding amp with bags of power, clarity and presence.
There is a a few signs of use, but it has been cleaned inside and out, the switchgear has been serviced, and it works perfectly.
