Reluctantly offered for sale is my 2010 Alfa Romeo Brera Italia Independent, one of the rarest Brera special editions produced and fitted with the sought-after 1750 TBi engine.

The car has covered 134,000 miles. Mechanically it is in excellent condition and has clearly been well cared for throughout its life. It has just passed its MOT, so comes with a full 12 months MOT for complete peace of mind.

One of the biggest jobs on these cars has already been done - the timing belt, tensioners and water pump were all replaced in February 2026 by a respected Alfa Romeo specialist, so the new owner won’t have to worry about that expensive maintenance for years to come.

The car comes with an extensive service history, including many years of Alfa Romeo dealer servicing and specialist maintenance. Recent work includes:

The honest bits:

The car is now 16 years old and isn’t concours. The matte finish paint would benefit from some cosmetic attention, with a few poorly touched-in stone chips and age-related marks. The driver’s seat bolster has the usual wear with a small tear. None of these detract from how well the car drives, but I’d rather be upfront so there are no surprises.

Overall, this is an honest, mechanically sorted Brera that can be enjoyed immediately while being improved cosmetically over time if the next owner wishes. These Italia Independent models are becoming increasingly rare, particularly with the 1750 TBi engine, and a definite future classic.
