Location: Dorchester

Salary: up to £32k DOE

Full-Time, Permanent

Are you someone who takes pride in creating beautiful, well-kept outdoor spaces? Our client is looking for a dedicated Groundsman to join their Estates & Facilities team and help maintain the stunning grounds that students, staff, and visitors enjoy every day.

What you’ll be doing:

Maintaining lawns, gardens, sports fields, pathways, and outdoor communal areas

*

Carrying out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, planting, weeding, and general horticultural duties

*

Preparing and maintaining sports pitches to a high standard

*

Assisting with leaf clearance, snow removal, and gritting during winter

*

Operating and carrying out basic maintenance on grounds machinery and equipment

*

Ensuring the grounds remain tidy, safe, and presentable at all times

*

Supporting wider estates tasks when required

What we’re looking for:

*

Previous experience as a Groundsman, Gardener, or Grounds Maintenance Operative

*

Experience working on large estates, school/college grounds, or sports facilities (preferred)

*

Confident using grounds maintenance machinery (mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, tractors, etc.)

*

A passion for outdoor work, with the ability to work in all weather conditions

*

Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach

A positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
