Description
Groundcare Mechanic
Location: Greenhithe
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Due to internal movement within the business, my client is seeking an experienced Groundcare Mechanic to join their team. This is a 50/50 split role between workshop-based repairs and mobile field service work.
Main Responsibilities
Undertake servicing, inspections, and safety checks on all machinery in line with manufacturer guidelines and service schedules
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to groundcare equipment and associated machinery
Perform regular checks on power tools, ensuring all guards and safety devices are fitted and fully operational
Carry out minor vehicle repairs and coordinate major repairs through approved supply partners
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Ensure full compliance with company and depot procedures
Candidate Requirements
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline (or time-served equivalent experience)
Proven experience as a Groundcare Technician, xjnqpsq Plant Fitter, or Small Tools Fitter
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Full UK driving licence
