Ecologist - Tetbury

An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and motivated Ecologist to join a growing environmental consultancy based in Tetbury. Working as part of a friendly and experienced team, the successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of ecological projects across the UK. The role offers a varied workload, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, ecological appraisals, report writing, and supporting planning and development projects from inception through to completion. This position is ideal for an ecologist looking to develop their career within a supportive environment that values professional growth, technical excellence, and a practical approach to ecological consultancy.

The Role;

Undertake a variety of ecological surveys, including protected species and habitat assessments.

Prepare high-quality technical reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, and protected species documentation.

Assist with project management, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.

Liaise with clients, planning authorities, and project teams.

Support biodiversity enhancement and habitat management initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate;

Holds a degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related subject.

Has experience working within ecological consultancy or a similar environment.

Possesses a sound knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.

Is an excellent communicator with strong report-writing skills.

Holds a full UK driving licence.

Protected species survey licences would be advantageous but are not essential. xjnqpsq
