Description
Private office assistant — Wells, Somerset
Three hours per week | £19 per hour | Flexible start
An independent strategic adviser based in Wells is looking for a reliable, methodical assistant to help with a weekly correspondence session at a home office in Wells.
The role involves preparing and posting personalised business letters. A4 letters are printed in advance on a colour laser printer. Your work, during a weekly three-hour session, is to hand-address envelopes on quality stationery, write a short handwritten note on a Post-it for each letter, apply stamps, assemble, and walk the batch to a local postbox. Typically 10 to 15 letters per session.
Neat, legible handwriting is essential. Care with detail matters more than speed. Discretion is important — the correspondence is addressed to senior business figures and is confidential.
The work suits someone who:
Has good handwriting and takes pride in presentation
Is punctual and dependable for a fixed weekly session
Lives in or near Wells
Can work quietly and independently
Enjoys a clearly defined, finite task with a clear finish
No specialist experience required. Some administrative or office background helpful but not essential. Training on the specific process will be provided at the first session.
To apply: please send a short handwritten note (three or four sentences) saying why the role appeals to you, along with a brief CV or summary of your background. Photograph or scan of the handwritten note is fine. Email to office@johncorr.com.
Start: flexible, but sooner rather than later.
