We are recruiting for an experienced and proactive Night Shift Manager to take ownership of our busy night warehouse operation in Doncaster. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved on the floor while motivating and supporting their team to deliver high standards of performance, accuracy, and efficiency.

You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of nightly picking, packing, and dispatch operations, overseeing a small team and leading by example to keep everything moving safely and on schedule.

The Role:

As Night Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the full supervision of a team of 7 warehouse operatives. You will organise workloads, delegate tasks, and ensure orders are picked, packed, and loaded accurately and on time. This is not a desk-based role – you’ll be expected to work alongside the team when required, supporting daily tasks and maintaining productivity throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading, managing, and motivating a team of 7 staff members

Planning and delegating daily workloads to meet operational targets

Supporting picking, packing, and loading vans during busy periods

Monitoring performance, accuracy, and productivity

Managing rotas, holidays, and sickness cover

Providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to staff

Maintaining health & safety standards and safe working practices

Ensuring a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment

Communicating effectively with senior management regarding performance and any issues

About You:

Previous warehouse supervisory or management experience (essential)

Confident leading a small team and making decisions independently

Hands-on approach with a strong work ethic

Highly organised with good time management skills

Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience in picking/packing or logistics operations preferred
