Hours: 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm, with two night shifts per month

The Role

We're recruiting for an experienced Goods In Manager to take ownership of the inbound goods operation at a well-established food manufacturing business.

You'll ensure all deliveries are received, checked and booked in accurately, maintaining stock accuracy, product traceability and compliance with site food safety standards. You'll lead the goods intake team, work closely with other departments and keep the operation running efficiently, even when deliveries and deadlines pile up.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all inbound deliveries and goods receipt processes.

Check deliveries against purchase orders, product specifications and delivery documentation.

Ensure accurate stock booking and inventory records using ERP/SAP systems.

Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, shortages, damages and supplier non-conformances.

Maintain full batch and material traceability.

Carry out intake quality checks, temperature checks and documentation reviews.

Ensure non-conforming materials are correctly quarantined and reported.

Maintain compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, allergen controls and site procedures.

Support customer, regulatory and third-party audits.

Lead, coach and develop the Goods Intake team, setting clear expectations and standards.

Manage labour planning and monitor departmental performance.

Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Work closely with Procurement, Planning, Production, Technical, Warehouse and Stock Control teams to investigate and resolve issues.

About You

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the goods intake operation, lead by example and keep standards high.

You'll ideally bring:

Experience managing or supervising a goods-in, warehouse intake or inbound logistics operation.

Strong computer skills, with experience using ERP or stock management systems.

A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to make decisions.

The ability to remain organised and focused under pressure, working to deadlines and managing competing priorities.

A positive attitude towards change, new processes and continuous improvement.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the business.

High standards of professionalism, accuracy and personal conduct.

The physical ability to lift products weighing up to 25kg. Experience within food manufacturing or a food-handling environment, particularly with BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, allergen control and batch traceability, would be highly relevant.

Working Hours

Core hours are either 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm.

Two night shifts per month are expected.

This is a fully site-based position. xjnqpsq Interested?
