A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Ecologist to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy based near Harlowe. With over 30 years of industry expertise, the company delivers high-quality ecology, arboriculture, landscape and environmental consultancy services, supporting a wide range of development and land management projects across the UK. As a Consultant Ecologist, you'll join a collaborative team committed to delivering practical, sustainable solutions while supporting your professional development.

As a Consultant Ecologist, you'll undertake a varied mix of fieldwork and office-based duties, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, protected species surveys, ecological reporting, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments, mitigation strategies and ecological support for planning applications. The Consultant Ecologist will work closely with experienced environmental professionals on diverse and rewarding projects.

Experience carrying out ecological surveys and producing reports

Good knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy

Relevant degree in Ecology or a related subject

Full UK driving licence

Full right to work in the UK

Able to live in or within a reasonable commuting distance of the Harlowe office
