Description

Job Specification:

We are looking for a caring, warm and reliable person to create a calm and peaceful

environment around a lively elderly couple in a fully staffed household. This will be a

fantastic position for someone looking to enjoy Highland life in beautiful surroundings.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of an established team of household staff (housekeepers, estate manager and

gardeners).

Companionship for a man in his early nineties with mild cognitive decline and his wife (in

her late eighties).

Assisting with ordering online and basic correspondence.

Driving the couple on outings and to their gym classes.

Errand running.

Managing medical appointments.

Occasional food preparation and washing up after meals.

Tidying and organising rooms.

As hoc duties as required.

Occasional overnight stays when the estate manager is away (up to 40 nights per year) in

order to be the responsible person on site.

Working Hours:

35 – 40 hours over 5 days including some weekends. The hours are not set so flexible

scheduling can be discussed, for example to fit around study etc. Overnight cover from time

to time.

Generous salary dependant on experience.

Location:

Close to Forres, Moray Coast. 40minutes to Inverness.

Accommodation:

Rental accommodation will be provided locally

Candidate requirements:

Must have experience working with the Elderly.

Trustworthy, DBS Checked or willing to do so, with excellent checkable references.

Able to work both independently and collaboratively, communicating well with family and

other staff members.

Flexible, “can do” attitude.

Full UK driving licence (car provided for local travel).

Willing to follow the routine and choices of the couple.

Interest in nature and outdoors.

Excellent English.

Right to work in UK.

Start Date:
