A well-established local manufacturing company is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join its busy finance team. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple accounting and administrative tasks to deadline.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, responsibilities will include:

Supporting both Sales and Purchase ledger Processing customer receipts, BACS payments, invoices and reconciliationsManaging supplier payments and remittancesAssisting with credit control and account queriesProcessing purchase invoices and paymentsLiaising professionally with customers, suppliers and internal departments About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role is essentialAAT Level 2 (or equivalent) preferredStrong Excel and MS Office skillsExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailThe ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectivelyA professional and confident communication styleMust live or comfortably commute to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire to start at short notice This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and growing business where you can further develop your accounting experience within a collaborative team environment.
